Are you our new employee?

Strandskolan is a K-9 school located in central Idre, close to both mountains, lakes, and forests.

Approximately 135 students attend our school. We incorporate many elements of outdoor life into our teaching, such as mountain hiking and skiing. In high school, students can participate in reindeer herding and try sleeping in tents outdoors in winter. The school sports association is very active, and we participate in RF-SISU's Movement Initiative.

This is what you will work with

You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching primarily in mathematics and science subjects.

Together with the rest of the work team and other colleagues at Strandskolan, you will work to ensure that students have good conditions for further studies and that they leave Strandskolan with both knowledge and a curiosity and desire to learn more.

You will also be a mentor for a group of students.

Who are we looking for?

For our wonderful work team in grades 7-9, we are looking for a team player. You are very good at creating contacts and maintaining relationships, and you collaborate well with colleagues, students, and guardians. You are driven by the desire to develop the activities together with others at the school and see opportunities in utilizing our surroundings in teaching.

We are looking for a licensed teacher, preferably with a focus on mathematics and science subjects.

We want you to have competence, interest, and experience in working with students with special needs. It is an advantage to have qualifications in several subjects. You are solution-focused and driven by finding ways for all students to achieve as much as possible.

In your work, you consider the best interests of the entire operation and see opportunities in changes. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
